Mercedes-Benz has an impressive new car portfolio, covering almost every market segment and niche, from SUVs to sports cars, and from luxury vehicles to very-first pickup trucks.

Merc’s lineup includes no less than six convertibles, among which the open top versions of the C-, E- and S-Class. Moreover, the SLC and SL roadsters are here to stay as well, and so is the AMG GT Roadster.

But do you know which is the company’s favorite convertible of all time? You’d probably expect to hear about the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster once more. After all it’s good for 547hp and 501lb-ft (680Nm) of torque, takes as little as 3.7sec to reach 100km/h (62mph), and has a top speed of km/h (196mph) in the most powerful form.

However, you’d be wrong, because the AMG GT C Roadster isn’t their favorite, although it’s in the top 5, as is the luxurious S-Class Cabriolet and their very own land yacht, the Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6 concept.

The short video put together by the German automaker includes the classic 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet too, with its wooden veneer dashboard and power windows, which were “a luxury at the time”, according to the company.

The number one position is reserved for a truly special car, one that continues to dictate the Mercedes-Benz styling in the upper segments. True fans of Stuttgart-based automaker know which one it is, and the rest can find out by scrolling down and hitting the play button.
