Dacia can to turn your second generation Duster into an LCV (light commercial vehicle) for €1,730 (in Austria, without tax and transport costs).

Called the Dacia Duster Fiskal, the result is a van “for all occasions”, the Romanian automaker says, which doesn’t compromise the budget SUV, but gives it a 1,640mm (65.6in) long flat load compartment behind the front seats.

The cargo space is separated from the front compartment with a steel divider, and the there are no rear side windows, as they have been replaced by metal with fabric on the inside.

The company says that the conversion is available for both front- and all-wheel drive versions of the Duster. The former has a more generous boot, at 1,636 liters (57.8cu-ft), whereas the latter can take in 1,604 liters (56.6cu-ft). The Fiskal is available with all of the Duster’s engines/a>, meaning the 115PS (113hp / 84kW) and 125PS (123hp / 92kW) petrol and 90PS (89hp / 66kW) and 110PS (108hp / 81kW) diesel units.

In addition to the Duster LCV, other Dacia models, such as the Sandero and Logan MCV (estate) can be had as small vans in Austria for quite a few years now. The conversion was also available for the previous-gen Duster, too, so it made perfect sense to roll out such a version of the new one, too.
