Mercedes-Benz has dropped a new teaser video of its Pebble Beach-bound concept and it’s made us very, very excited.

This video, shared on Instagram by Mercedes design chief Gorden Wagener, offers a glimpse of the vehicle’s side profile – and, from the looks of it, it seems like a modern interpretation of the iconic Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR made famous by Stirling Moss.

As the camera pans along the side of the concept, you’ll notice a very small windshield that might very well by providing protection for just a single, centrally-mounted seat. However, the most obvious similarity to the 300 SLR comes closer to the rear end where a prominent hump and air intake juts up from behind the cabin.

What’s more, the concept appears to feature extremely prominent wheel arches that are so high, they’re almost level with the top of the aforementioned hump. Mercedes-Benz clearly hasn’t held back with its latest creation.

Wagener’s post also includes a hashtag reading #eqsilverarrow, indicating that the concept will be an all-electric launched under the banner of the EQ sub-brand. While it is unlikely the EQ Silver Arrow will spawn a production version, it will be used as a showpiece to promote the automaker’s electric endeavors and used to show just how appealing electric vehicles can be.

Mercedes-Benz won’t be the only carmaker revealing a speedster concept at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Infiniti is doing the same and has released a selection of teasers of its upcoming Prototype 10 concept in recent days.
