SEAT has performed a series of updates to the Mii city car, which will only be available as a 5-door hatchback from now on.

The Spanish automaker didn’t say why they dropped the 3-door model from the range, but it was likely related to poor sales. For the moment, Volkswagen and Skoda are still offering the Up! and Citigo in both body styles.

As for the 2018 SEAT Mii five-door, it doesn’t get a new face or any significant updates, but rather revised trim levels, and more standard gear.

The base version is called Style and comes with an infotainment system, SD card, Bluetooth, USB, DriveMii App available for iOS and Android devices, and air conditioning.

The mid-range Mii Chic adds two-tone 15-inch alloy wheels, black greenhouse, special color and trim, black and white interior, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, and Beats Audio system.

Those looking for a sportier flavor of the city car can go ahead and order the FR Line, with its 16-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, rear privacy windows, special trim and black interior with red details. The Mii FR Line has leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, too, as well as a premium sound system from Beats, with 300W amplifier and a subwoofer mounted in the boot.

Customers can spec their 2018 SEAT Mii with the Easy Flex, Winter Pack and Sensoric Pack. The first one adds a double boot floor, seat adjustment and hook in the glove box, the second one comes with heated seats and electric side mirrors with heating function, and the latter brings LED DRLs, rain and light sensors, rear parking sensors and cruise control.

Safety assist gizmos, sunroof and spare wheel are all optional extras.

Power comes from a 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, offered in two outputs: 60PS (59hp / 44kW) and 75PS (74hp / 55kW), linked to a five-speed manual gearbox, or a five-speed auto, in the case of the higher output unit. There’s also a CNG option, with 68PS (67hp / 50kW).
