Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant played the role of good Samaritan earlier this week after witnessing a silver Tesla Model S getting hit by a red light runner in Newport Beach.
Bryant was driving by in his blacked-out Range Rover when he saw the crash unfold and immediately stopped to lend a helping hand, making sure that the driver of the EV was unharmed.
A spokesperson for the former NBA star told TMZ Sports that Bryant even began taking photos of the wreck once the Tesla driver told him that his phone was damaged in the crash and couldn’t use it to grab pics for the insurance company.
Thankfully, nobody was seriously hurt in the accident and no arrests were reportedly made.
This incident goes to show that not all celebrities are caught up in their own stuff to worry about others. Apart from Bryant, who helped that Tesla driver, last year another celeb, actor Tom Hardy, chased and caught a motorcycle thief in the UK – and we’re pretty sure there have been other instances, too, that just didn’t make it to the news.
