Cadillac Shows Its Flirtatious Side, Sends Racy Tweets To Rivals

Valentine’s Day can get a little lonely and it appears Cadillac was desperately looking for love.

In a series of tweets, Cadillac sent flirty messages to a handful of other luxury automakers. While Tesla and Mercedes-Benz didn’t play along, Cadillac did get a handful of playful responses from BMW and Jaguar.

In response to Cadillac’s meow tweet, Jaguar responded by saying “Should we Escalade this to the next level?” Cadillac followed up by saying “Just don’t leave scratch marks” to which Jaguar responded “Power-sliding into the DMs.”

In the case of BMW, Cadillac said “Is your GPS working? Because we’re lost in your headlights.” BMW used to opportunity to highlight its angel eye headlights, while Cadillac suggested “Let’s dim our headlights and see where this thread takes us.”

While Cadillac was pretty flirty in most their messages, they gave Lexus a backhanded compliment by saying “We don’t care what anyone says. We think your big grille is really attractive.” The Japanese automaker wasn’t amused as they fired back with “Aren’t you a bit old for us? *swipes left*”

This led Cadillac to say “You kiss your mother with that grille?” Lexus responded with a gif noting they were done with the conversation.

Cadillac’s tweets got a lot of attention, but it’s notable they didn’t attempt to court Lincoln. It remains unclear why the brand skipped their cross town rival, but it’s likely because Cadillac wanted to show itself as a premium brand on the same level of as its more prestigious competition.

There’s no word on whether or not Cadillac got lucky last night, but if we see a new Cimarron in nine months – it’s time the hide the booze.

“…but if we see a new Cimarron in nine months – it’s time the hide the booze.”

‘Doh! Let’s hope that doesn’t happen!

    • Liam Paul

its a shame lexus came off as a cry baby, but it must had been “Unattended ” to accelerate the thread

      • TheBelltower

Oh, that was a good one! Kudos

      • no25

wow that joke is just about as old as a Cadillac. and how did they come off as a “cry baby” when they just joined in on the fun? lol

      • Perry F. Bruns

        *unintended

    • Perry F. Bruns

They should have hidden the booze before writing that sentence. 😉

      * – it’s time to hide the booze.”

  • Ben

HAHAHA! Now this is funny. More companies should do things like this. Show a bit of lightheartedness and comedy, the world desperately needs some right now.

  • Tumbi Mtika

    Ok, this is funny.

  • Roland Fairwater

Even in tough times, Cadillac still has a sense of humour. Kudos.

  • Craig

‘Cimarron’ is still a great name. I wouldn’t mind seeing it again.

    • Merc1

Are you kidding? It was the worst piece of junk imaginable. They will never bring back such a garbage nameplate.

      M

      • Perry F. Bruns

True. When they made the Cimarron by Cadillac, they did mess up the only good thing about the Cavalier: the price.

  • Merc1

Great way for them to waste time I guess. It’s too bad it and GM are dying a slow death.

    M

    • no25

Go have a pity party somewhere else, then. You can’t call it a waste of time when it obviously grabbed your attention. You just mad because they didn’t tweet your beloved Mercedes brand?

      • Matt

        Actually they did tweet Mercedes.

      • Merc1

It’s a waste of THEIR time. Just plain SLOW, you couldn’t get that from the post? You gotta love it when you have a stalker that is too dumb to have any purpose.

        M

        • no25

LOL apparently I’m a stalker because I happened to read the same post as you. Obviously, my upvotes speak for themselves, sweetie. You’re just an immature, little child who gets overly emotional when something doesn’t go your way or if its not about Mercedes.

        • EL CHAPO THA GREAT

Just block that idiot. He’s an emotional cuck

          • no25

            LOL. Okay, dumbass.

          • EL CHAPO THA GREAT

it’s good to block trolls like this one. He’s a weak troll, @Merc1:disqus

      • baofe

Merc1 is like the bottom feeder of this site. Just pay no attention to him and let him swim around.

  • Nordschleife

I thought this was super funny and I love Jaguar for playing a long. I love out the box cute moments from unlikely places.

  • Bash

… you kiss your mother with that grille is my favorite one. 😂😂😂

    • Jay

      To lexus yes definitely!

  • OdysseyTag

Don’t see it mentioned in the article but their flirt at Audi was also pretty cute.

  • EL CHAPO THA GREAT
