After taking on a number of Land Rovers, Jeep Wranglers, Bentley Bentaygas and other premium SUVs, Kahn Design’s Chelsea Truck Company has presented a modified 2002 Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

The tuned G Wagon looks discreet compared to other projects shown by the British firm over the years. Nevertheless, fans of the series will have no doubt already spotted some of the changes made to the vehicle, such as the G63 AMG styling package, quad exhaust side tailpipes and mud flaps.

It also gets blacked-out headlights with LED DRLs under them, smoked taillights and clear indicator bezels. The final exterior touch is a new spare wheel cover with the ‘Chelsea Truck Company’ branding, whereas the wheels are 9.5×22-inch in size.

Black is the dominating color in the cabin with leather covering just about everything, from the seats and door panels to the armrest. Kahn has reupholstered other parts including the center glove box and instrument binnacle while adding a classic looking dark wood trim.

The show car in G320 spec, which uses a 3.2-liter V6 gasoline engine pumping out 215 PS (212 hp / 158 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque.

If you like what you see, Kahn is willing to let this G wagon that has 31,000 miles (49,890 km) on the odo go for  £49,999 (equal to $64,545/€57,893). That’s about one third of the cost of the all-new G-Class in the UK.
