White BMW M850i Coupe Lives On A Wing And… Nothing Else, Really

Last November, German tuner AC Schnitzer unveiled its aftermarket proposal for the BMW 8-Series Coupe, which consists of custom body parts, a lower ride height and more power.

However, this white M850i xDrive Coupe, seen here at BMW Abu Dhabi, is only wearing the carbon fiber ‘Racing’ rear wing – and that’s pretty much it, at least as far as AC Schnitzer parts are concerned. Still, it makes for an interesting aesthetic without most of the tuner’s mods.

Apart from the wing, the car looks really clean. Had its owner opted for a full range of AC Schnitzer mods, it would have also featured a carbon fiber front spoiler, matching splitter, carbon side wings, carbon vent covers, side skirts, and a large rear diffuser. Instead, the car looks pretty much stock, apart from the wing. It also has gloss black dual-spoke wheels and blue calipers.

Crack open the door and you get greeted by a dual-tone Fiona Red/Black Extended Merino leather interior with white contrast stitching, aluminum inserts and stainless steel trim on the center console.

Now, even though we know that AC Schnitzer has been prepping an engine upgrade for the M850i xDrive, which will give it a total of 600 PS (591 HP) and an extra 100 Nm (73 lb-ft) of torque, we have no way of knowing if this particular car’s has been fiddled with.

If not, then its 4.4-liter twin turbo V8 should be good for 530 PS (523 HP) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque, sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission and good enough to get you from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds.

Spoiler looks lost on this car. Needs to be wider and curve downwards to meet the bodywork more.

It’s as if the shop was supposed to put the wing on an M2, but added it to the M850i instead.

as if its a race car, lmao. get rid of the toy rear wing.

    that wing is really awful.

Looks cheap, really cheap. I’ve seen better looking spoilers on an old Ford Taurus.

It really does. It also simply looks bad..like someone made it themselves and super glued it in place. It does not fit the car at all. A carbon lip spoiler would look much better.
