Small American car manufacturer Panoz has just showcased the latest Avezzano model to roll out of its factory.

Those familiar with the Panoz brand will know that the Avezzano has been produced in road-legal guise since early 2017. The company took to Twitter to share images of the most recent example it built, which sports a number of bespoke parts.

The most striking aspect of this Avezzano is the bright blue paint scheme that looks simply extraordinary. In addition, the car features custom 20-inch BBS wheels, a front splitter inspired by the Avezzano GT4 race car, louvers in the hood and five-point harnesses. It all looks rather nice.

As eye-catching as the exterior of the car is, that’s not the most impressive aspect. Instead, it’s the engine that makes the headlines.

Powering the car is GM’s 6.2-liter LT4 supercharged V8 lifted from the C7-generation Chevrolet Corvette Z06 that delivers 650 hp and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission sending power to the rear wheels. We imagine that, just like the Corvette Z06, the Panoz Avezzano is quite tail-happy.

Much like some other small car manufacturers, Panoz offers its customers a wide array of options when building their dream rides. For example, customers can choose between all-aluminum or carbon fiber bodies and custom touches can be applied throughout the cabin.

Buying an Avezzano starts from $189,000, but with the custom touches of this example, we presume that figure may have exceeded the $200k mark.
