If you’re a fan of iconic German cars from the 80s and early 90s, then feast your eyes on this modified 1990 Audi Coupe Quattro, transformed into a so-called “RS2 Tribute”.

In reality, there’s no such thing as a two-door RS2, but if you take a regular S2 Coupe of that era and add the RS2 Avant front bumper, grille, headlights, fog lights and mirrors, then the end result can be quite interesting.

According to its Bring a Trailer ad, this car is showing 130,000 miles (209,000 km) on its turbocharged 2.2-liter 20V inline-five engine, which happens to be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

Originally, the car’s exterior was finished in Pearl White, but then the body was covered with an Intense Gloss Blue vinyl wrap, after imperfections such as rock chips were sanded. Additional body mods include an S2 rear bumper, aftermarket 18-inch RS5-style wheels, Audi A8 front rotors and A4 rear hubs, plus a 2Bennett coilover suspension with Bilstein shocks.

The interior meanwhile now features black leather components rather than the factory grey styling it had before, to go with a black headliner and S2 plastics. We also spot a three-spoke Audi S2 steering wheel, an Alpine stereo and carbon fiber inserts on the doors and various locations across the dashboard.

As for the engine, it was reportedly sourced from a 1991 Audi 200, before being rebuilt in May of 2018. While it’s unclear how much power the car is currently packing, we do know that the 2.2-liter 20V turbocharged unit on the Audi 200 quattro was good for 217 HP (220 PS).
