Vega Innovations will use next month’s Geneva Motor Show to introduce the EVX.

Billed as South Asia’s first electric super car, the EVX is a stylish two seater coupe which features a handmade carbon fiber body.

The Sri Lankan-based company hasn’t said much about the super car, but it has an aggressive front fascia that mimics the one used on the Ferrari 458 Italia. Moving further back, we can see bulging fenders, side scoops and exposed carbon fiber accents.

Other notable highlights include LED daytime running lights, a rakish windscreen and a massive diffuser. There’s also a ventilated rear fascia and full width brake lights.

The single interior image isn’t very revealing, but it shows a leather-wrapped center console with carbon fiber trim. The console also sports a wireless smartphone charger from Spark Connected.

On the performance front, the EVX has two electric motors that give the car all-wheel drive as well as a combined output of 804 hp (600 kW / 815 PS) and 560 lb-ft (760 Nm) of torque. They enable the 4,608 lbs (2,090 kg) super car to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.1 seconds.

Power is apparently provided by a 55 kWh lithium-ion battery that allows for a range of approximately 186 miles (300 km). That’s not very far, but the company has previously suggested a 130 kWh battery will be available in 2021 and it will increase the range to 466 miles (750 km).

We’ll likely find out more next month, but Vega added they’re also “developing alternative, mass market, transportation vehicles with its international partners.”
