In just a little over a week from today, Cadillac will start accepting reservations for the new generation Escalade, yet GM has not released pricing.

However, CadillacSociety claims to have gotten their hands on the official pricing details, stating that the big luxury SUV will start at $76,195. This would make it $1,000 more expensive than the outgoing 2020MY, which is offered in Standard, Luxury, Premium Luxury and Platinum trim levels, topping out at $92,295 for the latter.

From $85,595, the 2021 Escalade Sport grade becomes available, followed by the Premium Luxury, which costs $100 more when fitted with the Performance Package that adds features such as the Magnetic Ride Control, electronic limited-slip differential and Trailering Integration Package that includes access to up to 9 camera views, extended side blind zone and trailer brake controller.

Surprisingly, the Platinum trim has been phased off and replaced by the Platinum Package, which is available for the Sport and Premium Luxury, bumping both MSRPs to $101,745.

All prices are for the rear-wheel drive version of the Escalade, in the standard wheelbase length, and exclude a destination charge.

In a premiere for the series, the all-new Escalade is offered with a diesel engine. The 3.0-liter turbocharged low-revving mill develops 277 HP (281 PS / 207 kW) and 460 lb-ft (623 Nm) of torque and is hooked up to a ten-speed automatic transmission.

Rest assured, because gasoline power is still on deck, being represented by the 6.2-liter V8 that pumps out 420 HP (426 PS / 313 kW) and 460 lb-ft (623 Nm) of torque.
