The Koenigsegg CCX was one of the most significant cars from the Swedish car manufacturer as it was its first designed as a global car and to meet regulations in the United States. Just 29 examples were ever manufactured between 2006 and 2010 and the following example is set to receive some modifications.
This CCX is painted grey and has a host of bright orange accents. Like all others, it left the Angelholm factory with a twin-supercharged 4.7-liter V8 engine that produces 795 hp and 679 lb-ft (920 Nm) of torque but is being outfitted with a set of enlarged Rotrex centrifugal superchargers.

While the build process for the car is still in its early stages, those behind it expect the modified Koenigsegg to produce upwards of 1,200 hp at the crank when it is all said and done. That would give it roughly the same amount of power as the Koenigsegg Agera RS that uses a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 officially rated at 1,160 hp.
As the CCX is such a rare car, just like any other Koenigsegg, you can’t exactly buy supercharger upgrade packages off the shelf. Consequently, this is a totally custom build and one of the biggest hurdles will be tuning the car’s ECU so it’s able to run properly and make the most of its new components.
In addition to slotting in a pair of new superchargers, the Swedish hypercar is getting an aftermarket exhaust system. Can’t wait to see the finished item…
