We’ve definitely seen our fair share of horrible car mods in the last few years alone, but every so often we come across something that makes absolutely no sense.

There are plenty of ways you might improve on the looks of a second-gen early 2000s Dodge Dakota pickup, but strapping on fake Dodge Charger front and rear ends is definitely not one of them, especially when they don’t even match.

The front fascia was clearly taken from a sixth-generation Charger, and forced to play nice with a fake hood scoop, and a pair of Liberty Walk-like (not a compliment) flared fenders. To make matters worse, the grille surround, scoop and mirror covers were either wrapped or painted gold – which is rarely a good look.

Moving on to the side of the truck, we’ve got Hellcat and SRT decals, as well as multiple Las Vegas Raiders (formerly Oakland) stickers, which ironically kind of match the lost cause vibe given off by this Dakota.

As for the rear end, the tailgate was transformed to look like the trunk lid of a seventh-generation Charger Hellcat, but the very latest post-2015 updated model, which means it doesn’t even go with the front. Oh and the build quality is bad too; it’s no wonder we found this Dakota on Reddit’s Shi**y Car Mods thread.

In the end, there’s no escaping the fact that this is a ridiculous-looking thing, even by Dodge Charger pick-up standards, which by the way exist thanks to tuners such as Smyth Performance. Don’t believe us? Check out this Dodge Charger Ute conversion kit.
