A lovely 1984 Lamborghini Countach LP500 S will be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s during an online sale running from June 24-27 in Germany.

This Countach was delivered new to a man by the name of Josef Plein of Velbert, Germany on the 10th of March 1984 and for 30 years, Plein was the proud owner of this classic Italian exotic. During his time as owner, the car was driven less than 14,500 km (9,009 miles) before being purchased by a collector of low-mileage supercars.

The Lamborghini Countach LP500 S is very rare with just 321 examples ever built. Each came outfitted with a 4.8-liter V12 with 371 hp fed by carburetors. When new, the supercar could hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in a claimed 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 182 mph (293 km/h).

RM Sotheby’s says the car is in excellent condition and looking at the photos, that certainly seems to be the case. The original red paint appears to be in great condition and doesn’t seem to show any signs of fading and turning pink. Inside, there’s gorgeous white leather adorning the seats, side sills, center console, and dashboard and it too looks to have been well cared for. The gated shifter adds to the car’s appeal.

While the auction house hasn’t listed an expected sales price for the car, we know it will be auctioned off without a reserve. It will likely trade hands for between $300,000 and $500,000 and comes with extensive documentation including the original guarantee certificate as well as the order and homologation papers.
