Koenigsegg is putting the final touches to its Jesko hypercar as it wraps up development of its most hardcore production model to date.
In a series of videos posted on Instagram, the Swedish car manufacturer has shown a camouflaged Jesko being driven on the roads near the company’s Angelholm factory. We also get the opportunity to hear the hypercar’s roaring engine in all its glory.
Koenigsegg first presented the Jesko to the world at last year’s Geneva Motor Show as the successor to the Agera RS. Unlike the hybrid Regera, which is also in production, the Jesko does without any form of electrification and has been designed to offer the ultimate driving experience and on-track performance of any road-legal Koenigsegg model.

Powering the Jesko is a unique twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8. Other Koenigseggs also run a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8, but the Jesko’s powertrain is unique because it uses a flat-plane 180-degree crankshaft that allows it to rev to an extraordinary 8,500 rpm and makes it sound unlike any other Koenigsegg before it. That’s not all, as the engine also features turbochargers that are connected directly to a small electric compressor that drives air into them and virtually eliminates any turbo lag.
The Koenigsegg Jesko also uses a flex-fuel system, which means it can run on ordinary high-octane petrol or be filled up with E85. When running on E85, it pumps out 1,578 hp and 1,106 lb-ft (1,500 Nm) of torque.
Koenigsegg will build 125 examples of the Jesko, each priced at roughly $3 million before taxes, and is expected to start deliveries before the end of the year.
