Even though production of the Volkswagen Scirocco ended three years ago, tuners continue launching new aftermarket products for the stylish German hatchback-coupe every now and then.

One such example is Cor.Speed, with their Karma rims that feature a concave design with five asymmetrical double spokes. Introduced at the 2019 Essen Motor Show last December and fitted to the car pictured here, they are 9×20-inch in size, shod in 245/30 Michelin tires, and boast different finishes on each side: ‘Higloss-Bronze Brushed’ on the right and ‘Silver Brushed’ on the left.

Review: VW Scirocco R – The 280hp Unsung Hero Is Still Around

Contributing to the revised stance of this Scirocco R are the lowering springs made by KW, as everything else remains untouched. As a result, it retains its appealing design, including the elegant yet sporty front and rear bumpers, wide hips, roof-mounted spoiler and oval exhaust pipes coming out of the two cutouts in the diffuser.

Made on the same platform as the Mk5 generation of the Golf, the Scirocco succeeded the Corrado. The range was topped by the Scirocco R, which packed the old Audi S3’s drivetrain save for the four-wheel drive system. Its 2.0-liter turbo-four produced 261 HP (265 PS / 195 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque, but in 2014, VW gave it an update, increasing output to 276 HP (280 PS / 206 kW). The final version needed 5.5 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) and had a 155 mph (250 km/h) top speed.
