Mercedes teased the 2022 EQS last week and the company will soon introduce its all-new MBUX Hyperscreen.

Set to be unveiled on January 7th, the MBUX Hyperscreen promises to take the “operation and display of infotainment, comfort and vehicle functions to a new level thanks to artificial intelligence.”

The company is keeping details under wraps, but said the system will be optional on the EQS and “representative of the emotional intelligence of the entire vehicle.”  Mercedes went on to say the system will be “highly capable of learning” and have a “large, curved screen” which “extends along the entire width of the vehicle in front of the driver and front passenger.”

That isn’t much to go on, but it sounds like the MBUX Hyperscreen could give the Byton M-Byte’s 48-inch display a run for its money. That idea seems to be backed up by the teaser image, which appears to show an enormous display that covers the entire dashboard and flows down the center stack.

Following the Hyperscreen’s debut on January 7th, Mercedes will introduce it at CES. That unveiling will take place on January 11th and will include a more detailed look at the screen’s functionality, design and technical specifications.

While the Hyperscreen promises to be one of the EQS’ keynote features, the standard infotainment system will echo the one found in the 2021 Mercedes S-Class. This means we can expect a 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen with haptic feedback.
