The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is a beast as it features a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces an impressive 702 hp (523 kW / 712 PS) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque.

While the truck offers plenty of performance, it’s far from the first ‘go fast’ Ram.

That honor goes to the Dodge Ram SRT-10, which was introduced nearly two decades ago at the 2002 North American International Auto Show. Billed as a “Viper with a pickup bed,” the truck features an 8.3-liter V10 engine with 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 525 lb-ft (712 Nm) of torque.

When the model was launched, it was the world’s fastest production pickup as it sustained a top speed of 154.587 mph (248.783 km/h) over a flying kilometer. Dodge also noted the truck was quick off the line as it could accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in the “low five-second range.”

While the TRX can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 4.5 seconds, the SRT-10 was equipped with a six-speed manual featuring a Hurst shifter. This made it one of the most engaging high-performance pickups ever created.

That brings us to this 2004 Ram SRT-10 which is currently listed on eBay. Driven just 11,349 miles (18,264 km), the truck looks virtually brand new as its Flame Red paint job appears flawless and its 22-inch wheels are also in great shape.

The interior appears to be in good condition as well, although it’s filled with cheap plastics typical of the era. On the bright side, the model features leather and suede seats, a dual-zone climate control system and a six-disc CD changer. Other highlights include an Infinity audio system, a push-button ignition, and a sliding rear window which makes it even easier to hear the V10 engine sing.

The seller is asking $45,995 for the truck, which sounds pretty expensive considering it originally stickered for $45,850. However, it’s still cheaper than the TRX which begins at $69,995 before massive dealer markups.
