Volvo is no stranger to producing good-looking vehicles and while the car you’re looking at is an independently made illustration, it does have a lot going for it.

The four-door coupe dubbed the Volvo Krigare, comes courtesy of designer Tomas Zumalakarregui and takes the form of a sleek four-door sedan with proportions that seem similar to the Polestar 1.

The front end of the Volvo is one of the more intriguing areas of its design, thanks largely to the gaping wide grille that makes even Lexus’s spindle grille seem rather understated. Also catching the eye at the front end are sharp headlights and daytime running lights that give the Krigare a rather aggressive look.

The side profile is just as eye-catching. For starters, the car is rocking a set of massive wheels with black and silver spokes and a set of large Brembo brakes. Zumalakarregui has also given the vehicle a very low roofline that seamlessly connects the windshield with the rear window and includes silver A-pillars and C-pillars. The lack of B-pillars is another nice touch, as are the rear suicide doors with handles that sit flush with the bodywork.

We’re perhaps most fond of the concept’s rear end. For starters, there are a set of thin LED taillights with complex geometric patterns within them. We also like how the rear window stretches right back to the decklid which itself is painted gloss black to make for the most seamless design.
