Lexus has dropped additional images of a new concept car, which is due next week.

The as-of –yet unnamed study will be presented on March 30, with Toyota’s luxury car brand stating that it “previews the next generation of Lexus vehicles”.

Brightening up the profile shot, we were able to take a closer look at the elegant silhouette, with a tall shoulder line, rear window that ends right above the trunk lid / tailgate, tiny side mirrors (or perhaps cameras?) and elevated ground clearance.

Moving on to the front end, we can see that it sports a pair of slim LED headlights on each side of the revised spindle grille, that has an illuminated Lexus logo below the floating-style hood, and a prominent apron. The back end image reveals the LED taillights, a very complicated bumper design, flared wheel arches and futuristic-looking two-tone rims.

While the exact configuration is still unknown, the new Lexus concept will use an electric powertrain. How do we know that? Because they said so themselves at the end of last year, when they released the first teaser image that accompanied the announcement of the DIRECT4 electric drive control system. The tech will be used in the company’s future EVs and hybrids, with front and rear electric motors in the zero-emission models.

The crossover prototype from back then packed two motors, each one developing 201 horsepower and 221 pound-feet (300 Nm) of torque. Nonetheless, there’s no indication that the show car will feature this powertrain.
