The covers were lifted off the 2022 Kia K3, also badged as the Forte and Cerato in certain markets, three days ago in South Korea. While Kia has only released three images of the updated K3, a number of obvious changes do catch the eye and help to differentiate it from the pre-facelift model.

The most obvious change is the fitment of redesigned headlights with striking LED daytime running lights. Kia has also tweaked the K3’s tiger-nose grille while also fitting its new badge up front. Changes have also been made to the lower part of the bumper that closely resembles the larger K5 sedan.

Spin around to the rear and you will find distinctive taillights with an LED light bar. The reversing lights also sit low on the bumper and some black plastic is also visible just below these lights. The car featured in these photos is also wearing a new color dubbed Mineral Blue while the car also sits on distinctive silver and black 17-inch wheels.

A handful of tweaks have also been made to the interior of the K3. For example, there’s a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Admittedly, this digital gauge cluster will only be featured on flagship variants, with Car Advice suggesting that entry-level models will have a smaller 4.2-inch digital driver display and an 8.0-inch infotainment screen.

Kia has not yet confirmed powertrain details for the facelifted K3/Forte/Cerato, and while it has only shown the sedan, the hatchback should also benefit from the same updates.
