Like countless other auto shows, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance was cancelled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s scheduled to return on August 15th, but it won’t be business as usual.

Automotive News is reporting a number of companies will be attending, but with a reduce presence. In particular, McLaren said they’ll be focusing on customers instead of introducing new models or making major announcements.

While a handful of automakers will be more low-key, others are going all out. An Aston Martin spokesperson told the publication they will have a “global reveal” as well as “some Bond stuff.” The latter is likely tied to No Time To Die, which is now scheduled to hit theaters on October 8th.

The global debut is far more mysterious, but Aston Martin has previously said they’ll introduce a new DBX variant in the third quarter of 2021. That lines up perfectly with Pebble Beach festivities, but that’s not a guarantee as the automaker will also take the wraps off an updated Valhalla later this year.

Aston Martin is also planning to refresh their front-engine lineup, that includes the DBS, DB11, and Vantage, but there’s no word on when those updated models will arrive. A special edition is also a possibility, so only time will tell what the company has up their sleeve.

Besides Aston Martin, Bentley will be attending in “full force.” The company didn’t go into specifics, but noted “people want, and need, real interactions again.”
