The 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is coming this summer and the company is building anticipation by releasing a new video showing the high-performance sedan attacking Virginia International Raceway’s Grand Course.

Filmed on the car’s available Performance Data Recorder, the clip shows the Blackwing making the most of its twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 472 hp (352 kW / 479 PS) and 445 lb-ft (603 Nm) of torque.

The car easily hits speeds of 143 mph (230 km/h), and then quickly slows down thanks to a high-performance braking system that features 15 inch (381 mm) discs and six-piston Brembo calipers up front as well as 13.4 inch (340 mm) discs and four-piston calipers out back.

Helping the cause is the Blackwing’s available Carbon Fiber 1 package, which is fully functional. It costs $4,350 and includes a front splitter, front wheel well deflectors, front dive planes and a rear spoiler.

Thanks to these features and a sport-tuned suspension – with Magnetic Ride Control, stiffer springs, hollow stabilizer bars and cross-axis ball joints – the CT4-V Blackwing was able to lap the Grand Course in 2:52.50. According to FastestLaps.com, that means the model beat vehicles such as the BMW M4 GTS, BMW M5 Competition (F90), Porsche Cayman GT4 (981) and even the old Cadillac CTS-V.

That’s pretty impressive when you consider the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing starts at $59,990. It’s also worth noting the car can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in approximately 3.8 seconds, before hitting a top speed of around 189 mph (304 km/h). Purists will also be happy to know the sedan comes standard with a six-speed manual featuring a twin-disc clutch, a transmission cooler, active rev matching and “no-lift shift” technology.
