It’s a big deal whenever Jeep launches an all-new model and with the new Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L, it appears to have taken a significant step forward.

Jeep recently allowed a host of journalists and YouTubers in the U.S. to test out the flagship Grand Cherokee L and you will find some of these reviews below. These test out the new three-row SUV both on the road and along some off-road trails.

Many of the reviewers tried out the top-of-the-range Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve variant that includes adaptive air suspension. As you would imagine, this makes the ride much better than the previous-generation model and while some of the reviewers say it can have a bit of a floaty feel, it is very comfortable. In addition, Jeep has done a great job of making the SUV as quiet as possible.

The semi-autonomous driving system of the new Grand Cherokee L also appears to perform very well and keeps the vehicle nicely centered in the lane. The system requires drivers to keep their hands on the wheels and if they don’t, the car will actually perform a quick brake check to make sure drivers are paying attention. For the 2022 model year, Jeep will introduce a hands-free version of the semi-autonomous system.

It is unlikely that many individuals who buy the new Jeep Grand Cherokee L will take it off-roading but the drivers reveal that it can overcome some difficult terrain without too much fuss.

Local pricing for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L starts at $40,195 for an Altitude 4×2 variant and tops out at $65,290 for the Summit Reserve with the available V8.
