Bugatti unveiled the Centodieci at the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, announcing that the limited production run of 10 units was already sold out. However, one of the prospective owners decided to flip his slot for profit, making it available for sale through Luxury Car Consulting in France.

As is the case with all the latest limited-production Bugatti hypercars, the Centodieci is based on the Chiron but it has a fully redesigned body that’s heavily inspired by the EB110. The hypercar is currently going through the last stages of development and fine-tuning before the first units are delivered to their respectful owners sometime this year.

The modern homage to one of the greatest supercars of the ’90s is fitted with Bugatti’s monstrous quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine producing 1,578 hp (1,176 kW / 1,600 PS). This makes it 99 hp (74 kW / 100 PS) more powerful than the Chiron, Chiron Pur Sport, Divo, and La Voiture Noire. Only the Chiron Super Sport 300+ and Chiron Super Sport got the same amount of power, even though they are a lot more affordable.

If you are curious about the performance, the Centodieci can accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.4 seconds while top speed is electronically limited to 236 mph (380 km/h).

The Centodieci’s original price tag was €8 million excluding taxes ($8.9 million in 2019 money) – and the requested price for this build slot should be a lot higher due to the exclusive nature of the hypercar. The original listing on Luxury Car Consulting doesn’t mention the exact amount but James Edition has a reference price of €10,500,000 ($12,735,838).

A deal with the current owner will get you the second most expensive and second most exclusive modern Bugatti, behind the one and only La Voiture Noire. It will also allow you to spec your Centodieci according to your personal taste as the actual production hasn’t started yet.

We suspect that the other nine owners of the Centodieci will be closely watching the market. Selling your hypercar before you actually see it in person may sound cold, but flipping highly desired and rare models for a nice, fat premium is nothing new.
