- The new one-off will be based on the Chiron, featuring its quad-turbo W16.
- Bugatti has committed to building up to two one-offs like this each year.
- The car will premiere soon after the Veyron-inspired FKP Hommage.
While Bugatti finalizes development of the Tourbillon, its long-awaited successor to the iconic Chiron, a new report has surfaced suggesting that the French marque is working on its latest one-off built through its Programme Solitaire division.
This division has the capacity to build just two vehicles each year and unveiled its first model last August, taking the form of the one-off Brouillard. That car was based on the Chiron and roughly six months after its launch, was followed up by the Bugatti FKP Hommage, a modern interpretation of the Veyron.

According to The Supercar Blog, the latest Solitaire creation will again be based around the Chiron, but will take design inspiration from the new Tourbillon, as well as the limited-run Bolide, Bugatti’s wild, track-only monster.
While we don’t yet have any images that preview the car’s design, it’s not hard to imagine what it could look like. The Tourbillon sports all of the iconic elements you’d expect from a Bugatti, including its iconic horseshoe grille and the C-line on both sides. By comparison, the Bolide looks quite unlike the Chiron it was based on, sporting far more aggressive bodywork aimed at maximizing downforce. Blend the radical shapes of the Bolide with the refined lines of the Tourbillon, and this special one-off should end up looking absolutely spectacular.
W16 Power
As the car will be based on the Chiron, it’ll be one of the final Bugatti models built with the brand’s legendary 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16. Admittedly, the Mistral was supposed to be the final W16-powered Bugatti, but it was unveiled before the firm established the Solitaire division, after it clearly recognized growing demand for one-off hypercars, as evidenced by recent bespoke creations from Pagani and Koenigsegg.
It’s understood this very special Bugatti could be unveiled towards the end of the current quarter or in Q3, with a debut during Monterey Car Week perhaps making the most sense.
