The red and black Bugatti Chiron formerly owned by Dominican recording artist El Alfa has appeared on Copart and will soon be auctioned off.

The singer’s Chiron made global headlines in late July when it caught fire while parked in a Miami garage. It is reported that somebody started the blaze intentionally and while it caused extensive damage to the French hypercar, it did not destroy it.

These images from the Copart listing show that the driver’s side headlight has been charred and partly melted, while the driver’s side front quarter panel and hood have also been badly burned. In addition, part of the A-pillar has been damaged, as has one of the wheels and part of the driver’s door, while one of the side windows has been smashed.

The interior of the Chiron appears to have escaped the blaze, although there is a small tear in the driver’s seat it is unclear if this was caused by the fire.

Evidently, El Alfa’s insurance company decided against repairing the car and has decided to scrap the car instead. However, given that the car has an estimated retail value of $3.45 million, we fully expect someone to buy this Chiron and repair it. The listing notes that the engine runs.

Of course, repairing a Chiron like this won’t be cheap but if the damage is purely visual and the flames didn’t impact any mechanical components, then the car may only need a few new panels before it looks as good as new.
