Ford And GM Revenues And Profits Hit Hard By Chip Shortage
Both Ford and GM have reported declines in revenue thanks to the ongoing chip crisis. Ford’s third-quarter earnings showed a drop of approximately five percent from the same time last year, with revenue of $35.7 billion. GM was hit harder, with a 25 percent drop, with revenue of $26.8 billion.

The Mercedes SL has been retooled for its seventh generation and features a lot of departures from the norm, including standard all-wheel drive and a 2+2 seating layout that hasn’t been seen on the model for three decades. A plug-in hybrid is on the way, but from launch, you’ll be able to choose from a pair of 4.0 V8s, with the top-spec SL 63 outputting 577 hp for a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time of 3.6 seconds.

When Rolls Royce introduced the Black Badge sub-brand five years ago, they wanted to appeal to a different set of clientele — trendier, hipper, and more youthful. Mazda will introduce a series of special trim levels for the Mazda3 and the CX-30 in Japan. The updated models will feature minor revisions to the e-SkyActiv X motor.
