A prototype of the 2023 Acura Integra has just been spied in the midst of testing, bathed in skin-tight camouflage that provides us with our first opportunity to get a look at the overall size, shape, and profile of the sedan.

When Acura first announced the return of the Integra, it did so with a single teaser image showing the aggressive headlight. It has since followed that up with a second teaser, this time of the Integra’s taillights. These spy shots published by IntegraForums user ‘Supra93’ show the rest of the car.

At the front end, we can see an aggressive front grille finished in black and a secondary grille that appears to be sitting in front of an intercooler. Elsewhere, the front three-quarter image of the Integra shows pronounced front quarter panels with wide fenders.

The rear-end of the 2023 Integra has a sleek rear window, a hatchback, and what looks to be a prominent lip spoiler. It all looks rather nice, even though it is shaping up to largely look like a smaller and slightly sleek version of the TLX sedan.

It is understood that the new Integra will be based on the underpinnings of the 11th-generation Honda Civic and could use a unique version of the Civic Si’s 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Honda has also confirmed that the car will be available with a six-speed manual transmission with power sent through the rear wheels. In an ideal world, a high-performance Type S version with the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder as the Civic Type R would also be launched.
