The Nissan 300ZX is among the Japanese automaker’s most recognizable sports cars but despite its iconic shape and looks, the seller of this example decided to make a series of highly questionable modifications to it.

This 300ZX is up for sale through Facebook’s Marketplace in the UK and does have a few things going for it, most notably the fact that it is a right-hand drive model imported from Japan and has been driven a claimed 80,000 km (49,709 km), despite being 32 years old.

A series of significant engine modifications have been made. These include a new wiring loom, recondition cylinder heads, powder-coated plenum and water pipes, 89 mm head gaskets, an ARP head stud kit, reconditioned turbochargers, 740cc injectors, and new intercooler plumping. There is also a Nismo ECU and all up, the car pumps out an impressive 431 hp.

Then there’s the bad, and there’s a lot. Most notably, the seller has equipped the Nissan with a nasty-looking bodykit that includes an overhauled front fascia with a new grille, air intakes, and circular fog lights. The car also rocks an aftermarket hood with hood pins and has a pronounced front splitter.

The odd ‘upgrades’ continue along the sides with flared rear wheel arches, new side skirts, and a set of five-spoke black wheels. Things then get even worse at the rear where, for some bizarre reason, the standard taillights have been replaced by those from a Mazda RX-8 which are completely at odds with the rest of the car. A new bumper and dual tailpipes also catch the eye.

Further alterations have been made in the cabin of the 300ZX. These include the fitment of fixed bucket seats with racing harnesses, some faux carbon fiber trim across the transmission tunnel and dashboard, and a number of aftermarket gauges.
