Super Rare 361-Mile HSV GTSR W1 Is A Super Sedan With A Supercar Price

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ll know that used car prices have soared over the past two years and in Australia, few cars have increased in value quite like some of the rarer HSV models. Take the HSV GTSR W1 as an example.

The ultimate version of the Holden Commodore was introduced back in 2017 and commanded an eye-watering price tag of AU$127,700 ($91,898) when it was new. Fast forward five years and that starting price seems affordable now that used examples are trading hands for over AU$500,000 ($359,822).

This particular GTSR W1 is one of just 298 examples ever produced, of which 275 were sold in Australia. It has been listed up for sale through Australian Muscle Car Sales that will only consider offers of over AU$450,000 ($323,840).

Adorning the exterior of the sedan is a paint color dubbed ‘Son of a Gun Grey’ that has been complemented by matte black wheels and bright red brake calipers. The car has only been driven 582 km (361 miles) since new and presents in excellent condition.

Powering the GTSR W1 is the famed 6.2-liter supercharged V8 of the C6 Corvette ZR1, churning out a monumental 636 hp and 601 lb-ft (815 Nm) of torque. Coupled to this engine is a Tremec TR6060 MH3 close-ratio six-speed manual transmission that sends its power through the rear wheels. Helping to put all of this power to the ground are Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires.

Much like the exterior, the interior is absolutely immaculate with black leather and Alcantara adorning the seats, transmission tunnel, dashboard, steering wheel, and door panels.
