Lincoln is getting ready to release another EV concept, and it’s getting us ready for it with a short teaser video.

Published on Twitter, the video appears to take place at the Bonneville Salt Flats, and shows short glimpses of an upcoming vehicle at the Utah destination that’s famous for the high-speed exploits conducted on its flat surface.

Although no clear angles of the car are shown, what few flashes of it we get show a muscular design. A shot from the rear, for instance, appears to show a coupe-like roofline descending smoothly over very wide and rounded wheel arches. Generally looking long, low, and wide, it seems like Lincoln will be applying classically correct coupe proportions to this new-school electric concept.

A shot from the front, meanwhile, shows a wide U-shaped light bar with wisps of LEDs extending upwards, like eyelashes. The design is reminiscent, if not entirely identical, to the criss-crossing pattern seen on the Lincoln Star Concept SUV, which it revealed in April.

“This is a shining example of what happens when we combine Lincoln luxury with flexible electrical architecture to create unimaginable experiences for customers,” said Jim Farley, president and CEO, Ford Motor Company, at the time. “We can truly revolutionize how people engage with the brand and scale it across an exciting lineup of products that catapult Lincoln into the digital, connected age.”

A concept representing the first of several fully-electric vehicles the brand plans on releasing by 2026), this new vehicle that has been teased today is likely to be the second in that line, though it will be shown in concept form.

We’ll learn more about the vehicle, its electric powertrain, its performance capabilities, and its design later today, when it is revealed at 8:00 PM EDT.
