Rivian R1S reservation holders have waited a long time to finally get their hands on the all-electric SUV. The low-production Launch Edition trim with its special bits and paint color sold out fast too. Now, one has come up for sale at auction which means that someone can skip the line by purchasing it.

The 2022 R1S Launch Edition for sale on Cars&Bids right now features exclusive Launch Green paint and a Black Mountain interior. With approximately 260 miles on the odo, it’s practically as good as new.

Considering that like-new condition it should be no shock that it’ll come with the original key fob, a couple of key cards, and the wristband key as well. It even has the original window sticker which shows an MSRP of $79,000. As of this writing, it’s been bid up to $100,000. That’s a pretty slick $21k profit even if it doesn’t get any higher.

Like every other Rivian R1S Launch Edition, this one comes with a large 135 kWh battery pack and a quad-motor setup that delivers a total of 835 hp (622 kW) and 908 lb-ft (1,229 Nm) of torque. It also features 20-inch wheels and all-terrain tires at each corner. This SUV also has an optional reinforced underbody shield.

Of course, that’ll be of little comfort to longtime loyal Rivian reservation holders that are still waiting on their R1S. The factory began delivering these SUVs in late summer and early fall of this year. One commenter noted that he’s been a reservation holder since 2020 and if his delivery window gets pushed to 2023, he plans to buy something else and just flip his R1S when it arrives.

At least those in similar shoes can likely take comfort that when their SUV does come, it’ll probably be flippable for a profit just like this one.
