Nowadays, it’s not all that uncommon to see sedans/sports cars with roof tents or other modifications to make them campsite worthy. But all of those have nothing on this classic Toppola Camper, which essentially adds a mini house atop a Saab 900’s distinctive sloping roofline.

Listed for sale on eBay, the 1980 Toppola Camper fits both will fit the 2-door and 4-door 900. That being said, it’s worth noting that the listing doesn’t include the car, rather just the camper, so if you plan on purchasing it, it’ll have to be BYOS (Bring Your Own Saab).

Inside the camper, you’ll find a stove, a sink with running water, storage compartments, lighting, and a bed measuring 1.60 x 2.0 meters (63 x 78 inches). It also features few windows to let some natural light in, as well as heating for those chillier nights on the campsite. The only downside is that it doesn’t include a bathroom, but we can understand why they chose to omit one given the small amount of space they had to work with.

If you’re wondering how it’s possible to fit all this on the back of a Saab 900 and still have room to stand up, the answer is that the rear hatch of the car needs to be removed to perform the installation. Essentially, the lower part of the camper takes the place of the trunk. We could see this fitting in nicely on a quirky RADwood-style build, and if you think you could be that person, you could shell out the full €12,500 ($12,901) asking price to buy it outright or continue the bidding at €8,500 ($8,773).
