A Japanese fashion house by the name of Undercover has just unveiled a unique take on the Toyota Aygo X during the Undercover Fall 2023 show of the Paris Fashion Week.

The head of Undercover, Jun Takahashi, used his non-conformity design philosophy in making alterations to the Aygo X and while they are limited, they certainly have a striking impact on the overall look of the small crossover.

For starters, the Toyota has been finished in a lovely shade of grey accented by metallic black across the rear fascia, two new shades that were developed by Toyota for the project. Additionally, the Aygo X is rocking black 18-inch alloy wheels that include coral red accents. These accents can also be founded on the front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper. The roof also has stickers that read ‘Chaos’ and ‘Balance.’

A handful of tweaks were also made to the cabin of the Aygo X. These consist of new branded seats and floor mats with a striking pattern and red accents.

“We knew that Undercover could further expand the strong character of the Aygo X and we were excited to explore how Jun’s fashion language could be translated into the car development process,” head of styling design for Toyota Europe, Tadao Mori described in a statement.

Driven: 2022 Toyota Aygo X Is A City Car With Altitude

Just 5,000 examples of the Aygo X designed by Undercover will be produced.

Toyota introduced the Aygo X in late 2021 and in doing so, replaced the second-generation Aygo city car with a vehicle bathed in crossover-inspired design elements. It is based on the company’s GA-B platform that also underpins the Yaris and Yaris Cross and in Europe, and is sold with a single powertrain option. This engine takes the form of a 1.0-liter naturally-aspirated three-cylinder with 71 hp and 69 lb-ft (93 Nm) of torque. Customers can choose to have this engine coupled to either a five-speed manual or an S-CVT.
