In addition to showcasing a preview of the upcoming VAN.EA platform, which is set to launch in 2026 as a fully electric option, Mercedes Vans announced today that its existing midsize van lineup will receive an update in the summer of 2023. The refreshed V-Class, Vito, EQV, and eVito models will undergo a range of visual and technological enhancements, aimed at increasing their appeal to both commercial and private customers.

The announcement featured a single teaser shot, which is believed to showcase the front end of the updated Mercedes-Benz V-Class. In comparison to the previous model, noticeable changes include a significantly larger grille accompanied by revised LED headlights, as well as a new front bumper with AMG-style intakes. Overall, the changes give it a sleeker appearance that’s more aligned with Mercedes’ passenger vehicle lineup while the duo-tone treatment adds a hint of Maybach flair into the mix.

Mercedes Teases Facelifted V-Class, Vito, And EQV Prior To Their Debut This Summer

We spotted prototypes of the facelifted vans almost a year ago, hiding the exterior and interior updates under camouflage wrap. Still, our spy photographers managed to get a glimpse of the new digital cockpit with dual screens mounted in a single panel. Mercedes confirmed that the overhauled interior of the updated V-Class, Marco Polo, Vito, and EQV will feature the latest MBUX infotainment. The passenger-oriented V-Class and EQV will have a greater focus on luxury, while the commercial Vito and eVito will also boast “premium quality” alongside new digital services and safety features.

Mercedes‘ updated midsize van range will still offer an option between combustion engines (V-Class / Vito) and fully electric powertrains (EQV / eVito). This will be the last hurrah for ICE, as all of the future VAN.EA-based vans will be exclusively available in EV form.
