One of the greatest American wagons is up for sale on eBay right now with very low mileage. This 2012 Cadillac CTS-V Wagon is a bonafide brute with a supercharged Corvette V8 heart and a lot of desirable options. It’s just going to cost nearly as much as a brand-new Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing in the process.

Cadillac won’t sell anyone a brand new V wagon of any sort but this isn’t too far from that. Despite its age, this CTS-V Wagon has just 4,137 miles on the odometer. That’s approximately 375 miles each year since new. That low mileage is surely responsible for its outstanding condition.

It’s painted in Thunder Gray Chromaflair and features a black and faux suede package in the cabin. Both the interior and exterior look practically perfect. 19-inch wheels sit at each corner with Michelin tires, while a panoramic sunroof allows natural light into the car. It’s a desirable spec with lots of great features.

Under the hood is the most important feature though. That’s where a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 rests. It’s factory-rated at 556 hp and sends that power to the rear wheels only through an automatic transmission. In fact, that gearbox might be the thing that keeps this car from selling at the $89,900 that PJ’s Auto World is asking for (both on its site and on eBay).

Keep in mind that Cadillac will sell you a brand spanking new CT5-V Blackwing with a stick shift for $93,495. Sure, you’ll lose out on the practicality of the CTS-V Wagon and you might get a touch less attention at cars and coffee. Still, you’d benefit from a warranty, and make no bones about it, the Blackwing is a future classic too.

On the other hand, recent auction results suggest that indeed, this might be a good deal. A 2012 model sold for $78,777 in February despite having 49k miles on the odometer. A 35k-mile example from 2013 went for $93,000 in May. Considering those kinds of prices, albeit on cars with a manual transmission, it seems like slapping down $90k on this one might end up being a good investment.
