The current Ford F-150 already has an extremely broad breadth of abilities but the crew at PaxPower has just built one that’s even more well-suited to overlanding than most. Fittingly known as the Ultimate F-150 Overland Rig, the truck benefits from a series of modifications that will allow it to tackle the most challenging terrain and weather conditions.

In modifying this F-150 King Ranch trim, PaxPower started by installing its Alpha Widebody package. This package includes a set of new Fox Raptor shocks and extended control arms up front to increase the ride height by about 4 inches. A set of 17-inch off-road wheels and 37-inch BF Goodrich KL02 tires have increased the track width by 4 inches. Flared wheel arches have then been designed while PaxPower has also crafted a new hood with a ram air intake. The truck also receives a Borla exhaust and the front bumper of a current F-150 Raptor.

The alterations don’t stop here. Any good overlanding vehicle needs a comfortable place to sleep so PaxPower has equipped its F-150 Overland Rig with a roof tent that can sleep up to 4 people. This tent can be set up in just a few minutes and includes vented windows as well as rain and snow covers. The tent rack that houses it also covers a 270-degree balcony, 2 emergency fuel tanks, 2 water tanks, and a 7-gallon shower.

Further adding to the Ford’s rugged appeal is the fitment of a 10,000 lbs Warn winch, LED cube lights from BajaDesigns, and revised spring rates at all four corners.

Of course, not every overlanding vehicle from PaxPower has the same features as this one. The company says it can build F-150 overlanders to suit different needs and budgets and that the Alpha Widebody kit works on all F-150 trim levels.
