• Ford slashed Ranger Hybrid prices by up to AU$20,000 across the full range.
  • Australian farmers get an extra AU$1,000 off qualifying Ranger purchases.
  • Company says the deals are meant to ease cost-of-living pressure on buyers.

High fuel prices are just the latest in a slew of cost-of-living pressures impacting millions around the world. Against that backdrop, Ford’s latest move in Australia reads like a helping hand, though it comes with a fairly obvious catch. Want relief at the pump? You’ll need to drive away in a new Ranger or Everest first. That’s the deal.

Buyers who pick up a 2026MY or older Ranger or Everest Trend from a dealer will be handed a AU$4,000 ($2,765) fuel card. Pricing starts at AU$46,487 ($32,100) for the Ranger, while the Everest Trend opens at AU$74,271 ($51,300). With fuel prices continuing to surge in Australia, this is a tempting incentive that may convince some that now is the right time to buy a new car, despite ongoing economic uncertainties.

This fuel card offer will remain valid until all applicable vehicles are sold out, so prospective buyers may want to act sooner rather than later.

Plug-In Ranger Prices Slashed

Ford Has A $4,000 Fuel Deal For Australians Who Can Afford To Not Need A Deal On Fuel

Ford has also slashed prices for the plug-in hybrid Ranger, which has been well received by some but criticized as being far too expensive. Until June 30, the Ranger Hybrid will start at AU$62,000 ($42,900), including all on-road costs, a massive saving from the previous price of AU$78,041 ($54,000).

In addition, Ford has cut the starting price of the Sport to AU$66,000 ($45,600), down from $81,149 ($56,100), slashed the sticker of the Wildtrak from AU$86,257 ($59,600) to $70,000 ($48,400), and will now sell the flagship Ranger Hybrid Stormtrak for AU$73,000 ($50,500), a saving of more than AU$20,000 ($13,800) from AU$93,446 ($64,600).

Ford has also announced it’s offering a AU$1,000 ($700) discount on Ranger, Ranger Super Duty, and Ranger Hybrid models registered to farming businesses.

“These initiatives are designed to help our customers, from small business owners to families, get through this challenging financial period,” Ford Australia and New Zealand president and chief executive Fadi Mawal said. “Ford vehicles offer incredible capability, performance and long-term value for money and we don’t want anyone to miss out on getting the best car for their needs because of short-term pain at the pump.”
