- Jeep has teased a facelifted version of the Avenger in Europe.
- The seven-slot grille gains cleaner looks and integrated LEDs.
- Besides Europe, the Avenger will also be sold in South America.
Jeep is almost ready to introduce a mid-lifecycle update for its baby SUV in Europe, just three years after its debut. The facelifted Avenger appeared in a shadowy teaser, revealing the latest evolution of the iconic seven-slot grille.
Jeep describes the revised grille as a breakthrough, even though it looks similar to what we have already seen in the new Compass. In any case, the seven slots appear to retain the chamfered shape found in the original Avenger, albeit with slimmer grooves between them and without any visible bezels.

The highlight is the addition of seven LEDs, in the same vein as the Compass. These serve as a continuation of the slim DRLs of the Avenger, which are mounted above the main headlights. For those wondering, the first Jeep with an illuminated grille was the Grand Wagoneer Concept from 2022.
Besides the new seven slots, the Avenger could gain redesigned front and bumpers, possibly alongside new color options and new alloy wheels. The roof rails on the teaser hint at the Jeep Avenger 4xe The North Face special edition, although they could be applied to more trims in the facelifted lineup.

Jeep is keeping its cards closed about any interior upgrades. However, the dashboard was covered in camouflaged prototypes, making us believe there could be changes to the digital cockpit. The company might also cover the hard plastics of the outgoing model with softer materials.
We don’t expect big changes under the skin, as the Avenger is already available with ICE, mild-hybrid, and fully electric powertrain options from the Stellantis parts bin. The current lineup is crowned by an all-wheel-drive variant (mild-hybrid 4xe) featuring dual electric motors and a turbo 1.2-liter gasoline engine.

Besides Europe, the Avenger will also be introduced in South America, with production starting later this year at the Porto Real factory in Brazil.
It remains to be seen whether the Brazilian-spec model will mirror the upcoming visual upgrades of the facelifted European model, which is manufactured at the Tychy plant in Poland. In any case, the subcompact SUV is expected to receive a region-specific powertrain tailored to the needs of South American buyers.
