• The new Corvette Grand Sport can be configured with aero parts like the Z06.
  • As standard, the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport uses corner exhausts like the Stingray.
  • Prices for the car start at $88,495, but option pricing has yet to be confirmed.

There’s a lot to get excited about with the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette line-up, but the headliner is the long-awaited return of the Grand Sport. Positioned between the Stingray and the Grand Sport X, which replaces the old E-Ray, the standard Grand Sport has the potential to be the best-selling C8 version. It also opens the door to a few options you simply can’t get on a Stingray.

Chevrolet’s online configuration tool has recently been updated to include the new Grand Sport, although the upgraded 2027 Stingray and Grand Sport X have not yet been added. Dig into the tool and you’ll find the standard Grand Sport offers a dizzying spread of options, enough that you can build one to look nearly identical to a Z06, which is certainly no bad thing.

The flagship color of the Grand Sport is, of course, Admiral Blue Metallic, which we’ve added to our dream spec. We’ve also opted for the 3LT package, the available transparent roof panel, and the 10-spoke Pearl Nickel forged aluminum wheels, although the five-spoke carbon fiber wheels are tempting.

The Perfect C8?

The Grand Sport can be configured with the same Carbon Flash carbon fiber aero package as the Z06, including a new splitter with canards and a towering rear wing. This aero kit can be joined with either the T52 Track Performance Package or the Z52 Sport Performance Package.

If you want the full Z06 effect, you’d be wise to opt for the Track pack, as it includes the Z06-style quad center exhausts, whereas the standard Grand Sport retains the same exhausts as the Stingray. Alternatively, the central exhausts can be added as an option to the Sport pack.

Other key options include the Grand Sport’s iconic hash marks, repositioned from the front quarter panels to the rear for the C8 generation. They are offered in carbon finishes alongside red, black/silver, and yellow.

Chevrolet has yet to release pricing for any of the Corvette Grand Sport’s individual options, so eager buyers will have to sit tight a little longer or check in with their local dealership for the details. What we do know is that the Grand Sport opens at $88,495.
