A new teaser of the upcoming Fisker electric SUV has been shared online by the company’s founder, Henrik Fisker.

While this teaser image only focuses on the roof of the SUV, it does reveal one of the key technological highlights of the vehicle; a solar roof. The original Fisker Karma came outfitted with a solar roof and the company will do the same with its rival to the Tesla Model Y.

It remains to be seen how much power can be gathered by the solar roof and whether it will directly power some of the accessories in the car or instead funnel power directly into the battery pack. Whatever the case may be, it’ll inevitably help boost the vehicle’s range.

Last week, a separate teaser provided us with a look at the SUV’s three-quarter design where there are turn signals incorporated into the D-pillars. This teaser, as well as the roof-focused one, also reveal that the SUV will adopt thin, horizontal taillights and a bold and aggressive rear bumper.

Previous teaser images have revealed the front fascia in full. It includes small LED headlights, a large faux grille, and curved LED daytime running lights. The vehicle has also been equipped with eye-catching wheels.

Powering Fisker’s first electric SUV will be a pair of electric motors and an 80 kWh battery pack in the base model. The SUV will be all-wheel drive and have an estimated range of about 300 miles (483 km). Pricing details have yet to be announced but Fisker has confirmed that the SUV will be unveiled in full this December.
