The Honda Civic Type R and Dodge Challenger are two very difficult performance vehicles but for some strange reason, the owner of this Challenger has decided to combine them.

The following image was recently shared to Reddit and while it shows a rather unremarkable-looking Challenger, there are a couple of things that make it stand out. The most obvious ‘modification’ is the fitment of a bright red Honda badge in the center of the rear fascia, a badge made famous by Honda’s Type R models.

The powerful muscle car is also rocking an aftermarket exhaust system that features four rectangular tailpipes and while it may sound good, the pipes are a little wonky and cheapen the overall look of the Dodge.

If we had any spare room in the CarScoops garage, we’d love to add both a Dodge Challenger and a Honda Civic Type R but if we could only pick one, it’d probably be the new Japanese hot hatch as opposed to an entry-level V6-powered Challenger.

The Honda may lack the two extra cylinders of a base Challenger, but we know its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder will have more than the previous-generation Civic Type R’s 306 hp and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque (326 hp and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm), according to a leaked brochure), meaning it also has more power than a V6 Challenger with its 305 hp and 268 lb-ft.
