- While NSX leads, more models are under evaluation.
- Full factory NSX restorations start in Japan only.
- The program officially launches on April 1, 2026.
Several months after Honda announced plans for a new heritage parts program, it has now been confirmed that Acura will launch it first here in the States. However, it will not be supplying new parts for your mom’s old Honda Civic. Instead, the effort begins with reproduced components for the first-generation Acura NSX.
The Honda Heritage Parts program has two elements: ‘Genuine Honda Reproduction Parts’ and ‘Honda Compatible Parts.’ The first will reproduce components using the same materials and production methods as the originals. The second focuses on newly redeveloped parts designed to replace components that are no longer available.

Everything from powertrain, exterior, interior, electrical, and chassis components will eventually be offered through the program. The full list of available parts, along with pricing and availability details, will be announced at a later date.
Honda also notes that while the original NSX is the first model receiving support, the company is evaluating the reproduction of parts for other classic Honda and Acura performance models.
Full Restorations On Offer, But Not For US
The new initiative sits within Honda’s broader Heritage Works business and will officially launch in Japan on April 1, 2026. Alongside the parts program, it also introduces the Honda Restoration Service.
The service will be offered exclusively in Japan for JDM-spec, first-generation NSX models and will see cars fully restored by Honda itself. It replaces the recently discontinued NSX Refresh Plan and will rely on Heritage Parts to return these cars to near-original condition.
“In this 40th anniversary year of the Acura brand, the launch of Honda Heritage Parts is especially meaningful, giving Acura enthusiasts the support they need to continue enjoying their first-generation Acura NSX,” vice president of Honda and Acura Parts, Steven Bailey said. “At its core, the new Honda Heritage Parts program honors our shared passion for these iconic vehicles and helps ensure they can be enjoyed by future generations.”
