- Gran Turismo 7’s June update adds four modern Le Mans Hypercars and a new safety car.
- Three new Gr.1 Prototype Series events arrive alongside two additional race categories.
- Pikes Peak joins Scapes as a featured curation destination for virtual photography.
Polyphony Digital is about to hand Gran Turismo 7 players the keys to some of the most advanced race cars on the planet. The game’s free June update, version 1.70, arrives on June 11 and brings five new vehicles, headlined by four current-generation endurance racing prototypes that have battled for outright victories at Le Mans and in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The newcomers include the BMW M Hybrid V8, Ferrari 499P, Peugeot 9X8, and Porsche 963. They’re joined by the Porsche 911 Turbo S Safety Car, giving players a road-car-based pace vehicle to add to their collections. For fans of endurance racing, this update is particularly significant.

While GT7 already features a healthy selection of prototypes, adding four of the most recognizable Hypercar and LMDh machines currently competing at the top level of sports car racing dramatically expands the game’s modern Gr.1 roster.
Polyphony isn’t just dropping new cars into the garage and calling it a day. Update 1.70 also introduces five new races across World Circuits.
The new events include:
- European FR Challenge 550 – Eiger Nordwand Reverse
- Pickup Truck Race – Fishermans Ranch
- Gr.1 Prototype Series – Watkins Glen Long Course
- Gr.1 Prototype Series – 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit
- Gr.1 Prototype Series – Sardegna Road Track A
The three new Gr.1 events seem tailor-made for the incoming endurance racers, giving players fresh opportunities to stretch the legs of the Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, and Peugeot prototypes. Elsewhere, Café collectors who have reached Level 64 or higher will gain access to Extra Menu No. 54, titled “Collection: Hybrid Prototypes,” which unsurprisingly centers around the new endurance machines.
Rounding out the update, Polyphony has added Pikes Peak as a featured Scapes curation, offering players a new backdrop for photographing their favorite cars. With four cutting-edge endurance racers arriving at once, this update feels like a love letter to sports car racing fans. The only real question is which one players will drive first.
