Question: what’s better than a Ferrari 458 Italia? Well, for starters a whole bunch of 458s, along with racing 430s and 458s from the North American, European, Italian and Asia Pacific Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, all in one place, the Mugello circuit.

Would that be enough to draw 10,000 spectators from around the world? Perhaps not and that’s why the 2011 Finali Mondiali Ferrari event that was hosted last weekend for the 19th time, had much more to offer to the Tifosi.

Like the stunning FXX and 599XX, various past Formula 1 cars from the Scuderia’s F1 Clienti Department and the 458 GT2 and GT3 racers with which AF Corse won the Le Mans Series and the FIA GT3 championships respectively.

And that’s not all: apart from Ferrari test drivers Giancarlo Fisichella driving Scuderia’s Formula 1 cars, simulating pit stops and giving the spectators one heck of a show, there was also Gerhard Berger with the 1995 412 T2.

On Sunday, the spectators also saw the final races of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo, with the 2011 title going to International GT Open champion Lorenzo Bontempelli and Andrea Belluzzi taking first place in the F430 class.
