As the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang will be offered officially in Europe for the first time in the nameplate’s history, it’s obvious that automotive media from across the pond are interested in it.

One of the first to have a go in the new Mustang is Auto Express – or at least one of the first media outlets to post a video review of the latest pony car. However, the test wasn’t filmed in Europe with an EU-spec model, but in the United States’ sunny California.

Steve Fowler was most interested in the Mustang’s 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which will power the base model offered in Europe. The Mustang will only be available with the four-cylinder or the V8 in Europe.

He rated the Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost’s performance as pretty good and described the noise as “interesting” but a far cry from the V8’s wonderful sound. However, the ride and steering were not to the reviewer’s liking, but the chassis makes up for that, delivering great handling and loads of grip.

Move past the break to find out what else he had to say about the Mustang.
