Toyota confirmed our suspicions that it will hold the world premiere of their fourth-generation Prius hybrid at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 15. The car will have its online debut on September 8.

The Japanese carmaker attached a shady teaser picture outlining the 2016 Prius’ LED tail lamp graphics, but it’s pretty meaningless after the compact hybrid was captured with its pants down last week

Joining the new Prius will be the RAV4 Hybrid making its first appearance on European grounds after its premiere at the 2015 New York Auto Show in April (very likely along with the facelifted versions of the regular RAV4), and in another world-first reveal, Toyota’s second C-HR Concept hybrid crossover.

The first C-HR, a hybrid-powered, three-door sports crossover believed to preview a production model, was revealed at last year’s Paris motor show. It’s the one pictured below, as Toyota has not yet released any images of the second iteration, which could be shown in a more production ready form.

Finally, Toyota will use the Frankfurt event to roll out the second generation of its “Safety Sense” system with the addition of Pedestrian Recognition and Adaptive Cruise Control to the package of features already available.
