While we’re usually stunned by the quality of work we tend to see at Carlex Design, this particular project raises quite a few questions.

First of all, it’s hard to make out certain interior details because the yellow and black contrast is extremely distracting. So why force that much yellow? Even if that’s the theme of the car, we’ve seen previous projects from Carlex that featured a yellow car without a violently yellow cabin.

Another question we could ask is why not have more Alcantara or even carbon, in order to get away from the contrasting leather and piano black inserts. Since the Camaro doesn’t have a particularly high quality interior in the first place, introducing different types of materials could have improved the overall look and feel of the cabin. Then again, if you’re into “Bumblebeeing” the heck out of your muscle car, then what more could you ask for, right?

Last year we saw this yellow Lamborghini Aventador which also had a predominantly yellow and black interior. Even though some might like it, to others it definitely looks like somebody is overdoing it on the drawing board.

In fact, some of the best designs we’ve seen from Carlex were either subtle or featured a crazy amount of Alcantara, completely transforming the cabin in a surprisingly good way.
